AUSTRALIAN V8 Supercar champion Marcos Ambrose has re-signed his contract with Ford Australia and will stay with the company at least until the end of 2009.
Ambrose put his signature on the contract during an autograph session for his new book, The Devil Racer on Wednesday.As well as staying firmly in place as the company's leading exponent in V8 Supercar racing, Ambrose will also move into an ambassadorial role in the Formula Ford racing program, mentoring young drivers coming up through the racing ranks.The long-term deal will also raise Ambrose's personal profile through increased involvement in Ford Australia's promotional and advertising campaigns.Ambrose is looking for back-to-back championship wins this year. He currently leads the Supercar series by 166 points from Holden driver Jason Bright.
