Brooks plied his trade in

the hallowed surf of Bells Beach

in Victoria and is still a relative newcomer to

the World Championship Tour. He used the opportunities

he was given in 2004 when drafted into world tour events as an

injury alternate, and did even better in his fi rst full year last year to fi nish No.24 in the world.

Brooks made a great start to 2005 when he upstaged some of the biggest names in the game

to win the six-star Salomon Margaret River Masters in Western Australia. He is blessed with

phenomenal tube-riding expertise and an uncanny knack of pulling off the unexpected. Among the

world?s best in standard surfi ng competition, he also excels in expression sessions and air shows.
